Frieren: Beyond Journey's End has ended up holding an incredibly special place in my heart. I give it a hearty five stars and it is well-deserved. I have been involved in the anime space since around 2010-2012 so I have had the pleasure of going through the usual list of animes that were popular in the tween and teen spaces. Watching this as an adult now was really... right on time. As many people experience loss so differently, I lost my father around the same time I really started to get into this anime. And oh boy, it really spoke to me. It felt like a warm hug or a warm cup of tea on a chilly day. It does an amazing job of exploring grief as it speaks more to the slow burn of loss. I am waiting in anticipation for this masterpiece to release the next season.
Apothercary Diaries is a good mystery anime. I definitely appreciate the character development of Maomao, she is entertaining and relatable! The complexity of the mystery runs deep and can sometimes be lost in the sometimes overwhelming feeling world. But overall a very enjoyable experience. I am looking forward to the next season.
Currently watching, full review to come. I did watch this anime sometime around 2014-2015 but never fully finished it. I defintely have a drawing of Cornelia on my thumb drive that I maybe... just maybe I'll post here. It was around the time I was learning how to use photoshop at a class at a local art studio and I was messing around with a Bamboo drawing tablet. This one will score relatively favorably as I am an engineer and a sucker for some mechs.
This one will most likely be abandoned... I made it to episode 6, really tried to give it a chance. Some of the fight scenes are cool but that's about it. Story is a typical talented young protagonist that will most likely become OP by the end of the anime.
